Nightmare before X-mas half sleeve.

It's important to know that any tattoo could be covered up successfully. The most important factor is choosing the right design.

Here's a starting point:

  1. Keep your options open.

  2. Find an artist who is in for the long journey.

  3. Communication. Even if you think your idea might not work, bring it up. (You're giving your artist more options and different insights into your vision/ personality)

  4. Patience. This is a long process, and it will take time when done correctly.

This sleeve incorporates characters and scenes from Tim Burton's Nightmare before X-mas. My approach was to make sure I start with Black ink. Solid black fills and a solid outline is the foundation. This is the starting point, getting this step in first will make the cover up easier. After the black ink, I then pack the dark colors. Next is the medium and light colors. Finishing touches such as highlights. Included are pictures from each session.

Please reach out with any questions.
